Rural Development Express (RDE) Nepal is a youth-led nonprofit founded in 2014 to empower marginalized communities in Salyan and beyond. We work to improve health, nutrition, education, and livelihoods while addressing social issues such as discrimination, child marriage, and inequality.
Our mission is simple: to create healthier, more inclusive, and self-reliant communities. Through innovative programs in maternal and child health, nutrition, waste management, youth empowerment, and community development, we strive to ensure every individual has the opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
Guided by the values of equity, inclusion, and sustainability, we partner with local communities and governments to bring lasting change. By combining modern approaches with grassroots participation, RDE-Nepal is building a future where no one is left behind.
Our Objectives
- To conduct community-based preventive, curative, and primitive health service programs as well as research in rural areas.
- To conduct educational activities.
- To conduct agriculture and livestock-related projects in marginalized communities and remote areas.
- To conduct water, sanitation, and environmental conservation-related programs.
- To conduct nutrition interventions.
- To conduct youth leadership and livelihood programs and mobilize youth for community development.
- To conduct awareness activities among the youths and parents to eradicate early child marriage and the dowry system.
- To support local government on policy and plan document formulation.
